The Jets managed to hang on against an Andrew Luck led Indianapolis Colts onslaught on their way to a 42 - 34 win.The two teams traded scoring drives and turnovers throughout the game. The Jets took a 23-13 lead into halftime, scoring 13 unanswered points going into the break. The Jets then came out and scored a quick touchdown to open the 3rd quarter to surge to a 33-13 lead and it looked like the Jets might be on their way to an easy win. But the Colts came storming back with two quick touchdowns and early in the 4th quarter it was a 33-27 dog fight.The Jets responded by opening the 4th quarter with a clock eating drive for a field goal, putting them up two scores, then scored another field goal off of a turnover on downs. It was then just a matter of running out the clock and withstanding the inevitable late push by Andrew Luck. The Colts scored a late touchdown with the Jets in prevent defense. The ensuing onsides kick was recovered by the Jets and the Jets then ran out the clock for the win.Jets rookie quarterback Sam Darnold had an excellent game completing 24 of 30 passes for280 yards James Carpenter Jersey , 2 touchdowns and a 114 passer rating.With the win the Jets record goes to 3-3, and first place in the AFC East is within sight as the Jets prepare for their third straight home game next week.John will be around for the happy recap of today’s game a bit later this evening.
